SIM swap and changing your phone or email

How Verath keeps alerting you if your SIM is swapped, and how contact changes are protected.

Fraudsters sometimes take over a phone number with a SIM swap so they receive codes meant for you.

Verath is designed to reduce that risk:

alerts can go to several channels, so losing one doesn't silence them;
changing your phone number or email requires a fresh selfie check, and Verath sends a notice to your old contact details.

If you think your SIM has been swapped, contact your mobile network straight away, then follow If your NIN or BVN has been misused.
