How Verath protects your data
What Verath stores, what it never stores, and who can see what.
- Verath never sees your bank accounts. We don't access account numbers, balances or transactions. We only confirm, with your consent, that the NIN or BVN you enrol is yours.
- Your number is never stored in readable form. It is encrypted as soon as you enter it, and matching uses scrambled codes rather than the number.
- Partners can't see who you are. An institution sees its own record of the check, never your name or contact details from Verath.
- Partners can't combine data. Each partner's codes are different, so records can't be pooled to track you.
- You can only protect your own identity. Proof of ownership is required before monitoring starts.
- Verath staff access is restricted and protected with two-step sign-in.
See the Privacy Statement for full details.
